Bruce Springsteen's Son becomes a fireman

type='html'>
The youngest son of Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa has just become a full member of the Colts Neck, N.J., fire department. Unleash your obligatory "I'm on Fire" puns now. Image and video hosting by TinyPic Sam Springsteen, 20, has graduated from the Monmouth County Fire Academy, reports the Asbury Park Press. Both of his parents attended the ceremony, which was held at the Fire Academy in Howell, N.J.
Proud mom Scialfa posted an Instagram of Sam wearing his fireman's helmet with a note announcing the graduation, then added hashtags: "#Proud #OurFamilyHero." Her feed reveals additional pictures of Dad and his sons. (Springsteen and Scialfa have three children: Evan, 23; Jessica, 22; and Sam.) "This is not an easy course," Monmouth County Fire Marshal Henry Stryker III told the Asbury Park Press. "There's a lot of physical stuff and a lot of hard work." That hard workload includes 188 hours of instruction in areas that include rescue, fire extinguishment, hazardous materials response, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, electrical safety and the care of hoses, ladders and equipment, noted the publication. The Springsteens are longtime New Jersey residents and live on their horse farm in Colts Neck.
